My materials

Currently, I work with a variety of watercolors both pan and tube, including Winsor and Newton, Daniel Smith, Sennelier, and Schmincke. I work both in small portable watercolor sketchbooks, for on the go work and on larger sheets of hot press and cold press watercolor paper. I refill my pans with tube colors as needed. I also have 3d printed pans for my metal Schmincke travel kit (purchased in Berlin) that I fill with my favorite tube paints.

My Process

I work at multiple scales, on several projects at the same time. I use my sketchbooks for exploration without judgement and they often become an archive of a visual language that becomes a longer deeper story in larger works. I am often immersed in creating series--deep investigations of particular materials, themes, forms.
